The bidding night
Timing was, well, unexpected. And it was that usual prince calling to say,"AAA JAAO...YAhan tagda mahaul ban rha hai...".
It went fine. B'coz we had less fights (than I expected).
Game rules were easily decided and agreed upon. The glitch however was about the bidding money. With some altercation between ashwani and achal, some convincing by oswin, some whims of jitta("jao mai ni khelta"), and then some past years reflection by our very own neta(ganja...kartik...kartikeya...acha baba kartikeya kaul) while pawan smiling on the bed and me trying to ignore the fuss(yaya, coz i dint knew heck about any player and needed time to study the blogosphere and reviews buzz).
I guess it finally started at 12. No, not the bidding but the rain that night. And the prime reason parasher gave for not being a part of this. What everybody else would however agree upon..."parashar tu nakli hai" + pechich.
The bidding began at 3 am with us sitting in rounds and calling names of the player to bid. Neta was unanimously(or rather automatically...u know) the bid caller.
Nothing much unusual seemed to happen in the bidding. Except one thing. Prince didnt bid for the first 80% of the time! While all of us had our 7-8 players handy he had 1...maybe coz he was waiting like last year to get players real cheap at the end. Hah, but it seems everybody has learned from their mistakes.
The bidding concluded at 4:45am.
